About Aye Aye Coin

AyeAyeCoin is the very first named token in Ethereum history. Deployed on August 20, 2015 — just 21 days after Ethereum mainnet launched — it was created by the anonymous early developer known as linagee, one of the most prolific experimenters in Ethereum’s earliest days.

At the time, the first 364 Ethereum token contracts had no name or symbol whatsoever. They were raw, nameless experiments. AyeAyeCoin changed that forever by introducing an actual name and identity: a quirky Madagascar aye-aye lemur. This made it not only the first named token on Ethereum, but also the first named animal token on the chain — earning it the title of the oldest animal living on Ethereum.

FAQ

AyeAyeCoin is the very first token on Ethereum that actually had a name. All previous contracts were nameless. It was also the first animal token ever deployed — a quirky Madagascar aye-aye lemur.

It was deployed by linagee, an anonymous but highly active early Ethereum developer known for creating many experimental smart contracts in 2015.

The original contract lives on Ethereum Classic (the unforked original chain). The version on Ethereum mainnet is the revived version that carries the same name, lore, and historical significance.

The aye-aye is a rare, nocturnal lemur with big eyes and a long skeletal middle finger. Its quirky and mysterious look perfectly matched the experimental spirit of early Ethereum.

AyeAyeCoin is a memecoin.

It has no utility, no intrinsic value, and zero promises. It might go to the moon. It might also go to zero while the lemur flips you off on the way down.

We are literally just a 2015 aye-aye with laser eyes and vibes.

Invest only what you can afford to lose, and never bet more than you’d spend on a very weird pet.

DYOR. Have fun. Don’t be stupid.
